Goa

Diwali, differently.

72 Hours Premium/Ultra tier Fly direct to Goa

Everyone's already been to North Goa. This is the half of the state that stayed quiet on purpose.

South Goa runs on a different clock than the north - fewer clubs, fewer flyers, a lot more crescent bays backed by palm forest instead of concrete. Palolem is the anchor: a genuinely postcard-shaped stretch of sand, curved end to end, boutique shacks instead of high-rises. Agonda, one bay over, is quieter still.

This particular chapter is built around Diwali - a private beach dinner on the sand, diyas and fairy lights instead of firecrackers, the kind of night that doesn't need North Goa's volume to be memorable. It's the premium end of the catalog for a reason: fewer people, better stays, one very specific night built around getting it right.

Where to Wander

The bays that
stayed quiet

South Goa's whole identity is in these two beaches and what's just past them.

01

Palolem Beach

South Goa's crescent bay

A near-perfect curve of sand between two headlands, calm water, and a shack culture built for boutique stays rather than backpacker crowds. This is the postcard shot South Goa is known for.

02

Agonda Beach

One bay north of Palolem

Longer, straighter, and quieter still - Agonda is where you go when Palolem starts to feel busy. No high-rises, no loud bars, just a long stretch of sand and a handful of low-key shacks.

03

Cola Beach & Cabo de Rama

A short drive from Palolem

A hidden lagoon-backed cove and a crumbling Portuguese-era fort on the headland above it - the detour worth taking on a slower morning, away from either main beach.

Beach shacks at sunset in South Goa

Diyas on the sand, not firecrackers overhead - South Goa's version of Diwali night.

Our own Goa parody, made in-house - "but what'll we even do on a 7-hour drive?!"

On the Table

Konkani coast,
properly done

Goan food is a cuisine in its own right - Portuguese technique, Konkani ingredients, three centuries of overlap.

01

Goan fish curry rice

The everyday classic

Coconut, kokum and red chilli, over rice, with whatever the boats brought in that morning - the dish South Goa actually eats daily, not just for tourists.

02

Prawn balchão & a proper beach shack platter

Palolem & Agonda shacks

A tangy, slow-cooked prawn pickle-curry that's distinctly Goan-Portuguese, best ordered alongside a full grilled-seafood platter with your toes in the sand.

03

Bebinca & a glass of feni

The local finish

A layered coconut-jaggery dessert with genuine Portuguese-Goan history, paired with feni - the local cashew or coconut spirit nobody else in India makes quite the same way.

04

A private beach dinner, Diwali night

The one built specifically for this chapter

The centrepiece of this particular trip - a table set right on the sand, diyas and fairy lights instead of the usual Diwali noise, a menu built around the night rather than the other way round.

Same festival, same sand, none of the noise North Goa gets famous for.

What to Do

Slow days,
one big night

This chapter has a real centrepiece - the rest of it is built to lead up to that one night.

01

Check into Palolem, slowly

Day one is deliberately unhurried - an upscale shack or boutique stay, the bay right outside, nothing on the schedule.

02

A walk down to Agonda

Quieter still than Palolem - worth an afternoon just to see how much emptier South Goa can get.

03

The Diwali beach dinner

The night this whole trip is built around - private table, diyas, fairy lights, the sand instead of a dining room.

04

One slow morning before flying back

No packed final day - just the water, one more coffee, and a flight home whenever you're actually ready to go.

Dates

To be announced

Goa is one of the Flagship Four - the four destinations Oyestore actually runs, and the only ones. Exact dates aren't locked in yet; we're not going to invent them just to look further along than we are. What's real: the route, the price tier, and a WhatsApp line that'll tell you the truth the moment dates are confirmed.

Still thinking?
Ask yourself this.

You know Palolem's crescent now, you know why Agonda's quieter, you know exactly what the Diwali night looks like. The only thing left is actually reserving your seat at that table.

  • How many more Diwalis do you want to spend somewhere loud, out of habit?
  • What would it take for South Goa to stop being a "someday" and become an actual date?
  • What's actually stopping you from asking one question on WhatsApp right now?

No pressure, no hard sell - just real answers from the Oyestore team, same day.
